I gazed upon a flower its beauty consumed me I wondered if maybe I could become its soul mate and if I could I reasoned would that it could at some point in time become as one with me a day of truth finding and wonderment . . . alas . . . by end of day it shriveled it died I wept and through my tears the flower bloomed I touched its soul it found mine and we became as one within the cosmos ~ Employ teenagers while they know everything. ~ |

Dear Jerry, how I loooooooove this poem! It is a sparkling gem. This morning I discovered four cactus flowers on my balcony, which were already folding their petals and I had not seen them in bloom!!! They bloom only for one single night and I have missed the miracle! I had seen them getting ready for the spectacle, but thought it was still two or three nights away. Instead they shot high in one day and ... it made me so sad and I felt like apologizing for not having given full attention to their magical moment. Your words confirm what I feel too, gazing upon a flower is a Universal experience. Love, Margherita |

Aw, heck, Margherita, that is a darn shame about the cactus flower. I'm feeling bad about it all the way down here in the swamps of Louisiana. Thanks for the kind words. ~ Employ teenagers while they know everything. ~ |

Sunflowers always fascinates me, for that matter most the flowers do; they are so delicate yet bring so much joy to our lives. Fine writing this, Jerry. "Hardwork pays in the long run" |
