and you were always there comforting and supporting a true friend to call on in times of sadness when it seemed as the world was against me you were my only relief from the harsh thing in which we live in my savior, from reality, You who I have abandoned, relinquished; due to my need to live freely I'm a big girl now, and I have no use for you I can handle life wothout your comfort, your devotion to me, I was such a fool perhaps it was you who outgrew me when I had lost my very own innocence oh, how I miss you my precious, dear Teddybear -Trina Life is nothing but a competition to be the criminal rather than the victim. -Bertrand Russell |

Oh, I absolutely LLLLLLLLLLLLLLOVE this! The format is cute and gorgeous and cuddly and clever. The content is sad, but very well done. I am 65 and I adore all teddies. When I see them, and other cuddly animal toys, in a shop, I want every single one of them. I couldn't bear to leave one behind because he or she could be lonely and feel unwanted. Sadly I don't buy any of them as I can't buy them all. I have Teddy Bear slippers. I got them as a Mother's Day present from my daughter-in-law the year my horse went to Heaven (2002). The left one is Teddy (with a T marked in ballpoint pen on his sole) and the right one is Bear (with a B on his sole). Previously I had rabbit slippers, called Ambi and Dextrous, but they got stolen, along with a Teddy Bear I had on my dressing table in one of the many break-ins to my house. The Teddy Bear was given to me by my son for Christmas many years ago when he bought one for his girl friend. Owl |

You're just too darn clever for word, Trina. Artistically done and the message was one of wish to revert back to those halcyon days when it was just you and teddy against the world. ~ Why Do Gorillas Have Big Nostrils? / Because They Have Big Fingers. ~ |

ahh, Trina...nice write...but can you really outgrow Teddy? ...when my grand-daughter was born, I bought her a teddy bear that she calls Pawpaw Bear...she lives in Europe now and just turned 13 this summer when she was visiting...she still sleeps with that bear and brought it with her (even though baggage restraints were serious)...your write was fun...enjoyed |

Aw c'mon you still have one you take to bed with you just to cuddle. Be honest! Baby let me be, your lovin' Teddy Bear Put a chain around my neck, and lead me anywhere Oh let me be Your teddy bear. I don't wanna be a tiger Cause tigers play too rough I don't wanna be a lion 'Cause lions ain't the kind you love enough. Just wanna be, your Teddy Bear Put a chain around my neck and lead me anywhere Oh let me be Your teddy bear. Baby let me be, around you every night Run your fingers through my hair, And cuddle me real tight This is very clever and I love the baby to maturity up front theme. But that stuff in behind makes me think you might be hiding something. Eric Love does not look after it's own interests. |

Yes, it was a song, and I can hear every word, especially that lovely growly part "your teddy bear"! Thanks for that Eric. Trina, I couldn't possibly use any teddy bear for a pillow. It would be painful for a teddy bear to have a big human head pressed into his tummy. It was such a pleasure to re-read your poem and see your adorable teddy bear again. Owl |
