Two flies were always arguing about who was the best Each sought to trump the other one no matter what the test At eating contests they were tied, true gluttons to the core A Spelling Bee was a dead heat, no point in keeping score At Chemistry and Algebra, there too they both excelled Frustrated no clear victor hailed "I'll race You" they both yelled A date was set, location picked and word spread 'round Fly Town The Vegas line was even odds the day the race went down The Jester won the drawing to see who would time the race Most surely one would come in first, the other second place The mayor led the town in cheer, then fired the starting gun Though you may think at this point I would tell you who had won Bemused, the Jester cracks a smile confessing what he's done In proving that he could time flies while he was having fun. |

I'm not sure even Plastic Man could stretch that far to get a pun! LOL! ...remins me of that old song "Two flies don't other me." [This message has been edited by Balladeer (06-24-2011 03:07 PM).] |

LOL you certainly took the scenic route to get to that pun, but the payoff was well worth it It's psychosomatic. You need a lobotomy. I'll get a saw |

Balladeer, Thanks, admittedly, it took more than a while to get there, but I like 'em better when you don't see 'em coming, lol. Doc divine chaos, Thanks, the "scenic route" for sure but I'm glad you liked. I'll probably be assessed "punitive" damages for this one. Doc |

Martie, Always a pleasure, thanks. Doc D. Lester Young Thanks. I could never understand why the "pun" is considered the lowest form of humor, maybe it's just that people resent the fact that they didn't see it coming? |
