Kick Started A Weight Loss Program

Once I was 324 pounds
Knew something had
to be done soon
when my asthma
kicked up

So on my own I
started to lose weight
Smaller portions I tried to eat
Dessert and soda
were my enemy

In about a year
I dropped 44 pounds
Down to 280 I fell
Then I got stuck
on a dern plateau

Back in February
I was put on antibiotics
Broke my plateau finally
But went the wrong way:
Up, up, up

Gained about 7 pounds
Didn't want to be
stuck at 287 lbs.
Until the end of July
I was though

Went to my sisters
for a week visit
She told me about
Weight Watchers and I tried it
for the week I was there

I was so excited at
the end of that week
Dropped the 7 pounds plus more
My weight loss venture
has just begun

I used to be 324 lbs. but now I am down to 262 lbs. I wrote this poem at the very beginning of my weight loss journey.

I am much happier with myself now.

This is so cool. I totally applaud you. You are on your way! Your asthma will be better. And you will be even more beautiful. Good work. Good luck. Good poem.

You can do this. Maybe you can post updates through your poetry. That might help keep you going. We are all here behind you. Truly, we are.
