When Love Goes The memories find companionship with the dreams. Hopes mingle with and become friends with disappointments. Tomorrow becomes yesterday faster than lightning. Empty arms become comfortable with the space unfilled. Lips once parted in anticipation close in acceptance. The moon no longer smiles but is merely an astronomical event. Stars that once danced in eyes that saw forever return to the heavens. The days go on without beginning or end and time becomes day after day. Life becomes a culmination of habit and acknowledgment. A heart that raced with another in perfect unison now beats from habit. And all that is left are the settling dregs of a once in a lifetime love. © Marcia Miller-Twiford [This message has been edited by Word Weaver (06-23-2011 05:30 PM).] |

Thank you Spiros. I collect wind chimes and love them. They somehow seem to talk. |

Word Weaver - You've woven a defining poetic portrayal of what we settle for and what's left after love has gone. It's written with the passion of the poet's pen as is to be remembered. Nicely crafted work here WW. Namyh |
