. No I don’t know What the currently Most popular talking head Said on his or her show Last evening Outside Two robins are patrolling The late spring lawn For worms or any form Of nourishment because They are hungry I have no interest In the latest fashions There are white clouds Now slowly crossing A pale blue sky Like great ships Going out to sea Yesterday On North Bay Road I drove beneath deep green Stands of old oak trees Beyond which yellow sunlight Showed brightly on open fields Time flows I can feel the passing Of the hours slipping away Into where I may never again Even in memory be able to find them And this morning I took back two bad books Because much like you They’re not worth reading . |

Whew! I could relate to all of this bar the last stanza - and what a bite that last stanza had - like a gunshot from a sniper that seemed to me to be coming out of nowhere - well, I suppose that's what snipers do! I enjoyed the basking in nature. Owl [This message has been edited by OwlSA (06-18-2011 02:15 PM).] |

WOW! I had the same feeling at the end as Owl did, though I can not express it as well as she did. I read all you write, just not enough time to post to everything. So I thank you for all you share now. latearrival |
