This is a picture I took from my kitchen window of a sunrise over the mountains. |

((((((Marti))))), this is so deeply touching, dear friend. A wonderful, strong message, to take to heart. A fantastic picture ... now how can you concentrate on cooking in a kitchen with such a view I wonder! God bless, may you feel well! Love and hugs. Margherita |

Misty Lilacs, you have mentioned before that you have MS, and just like the first time, I am again shocked and saddened - my point being that I had forgotten (forgive me) - the significance of that being that that is, as you say, most certainly not who you are, because you don't dwell on it, if you can help it - and that is why you have some good days. I remember a picture like this - perhaps even the same one, but without this poem - taken from your kitchen window - it stunned me then and again now that one can have such a magnificent and breath-taking view from a kitchen window - and I understand very deeply the connection between your strength and this view. However, Pip is a place of healing and caring friends and a good place to be in when suffering. However, I would imagine on the bad days, it is particularly difficult to press buttons, let alone type - but if you can just bring yourself (or ask somebody to do it for you) to press enough keys to say "Please write" in an email to any Pipster who knows you have MS (and I include myself with gusto), I just know that any of us will be only too happy to write, so that you can at least have the comfort of reading emails from people who really care. Very gentle hugs Owl |

Marti, I have never faced an illness like MS or any serious health issues, but if I do - I will be going to the archives and reading your poetry. You are srong. I think you are also very special. Love, Alison PS - the photograph and poem are exceptional. Thank you. |

Quite a dynamic set of words. Sand, but i see the fighting spirit in the words. And, no, when you feel you must hid, that certainly is not you. There are times, however, when we had to do what we have to do. Strong poetry. ~ Those are my principles, and if you don't like them ... well, I have others. ~ |

These are indeed the words of a strong and resourceful woman, Marti. My hat is off to you for your courage and fortitude. I don't have MS (Thank God) but I have severe arthritis and fibromyalgia so I am rather familiar with pain and can relate in a small way. If you ever need someone to talk to I'm always here. Feel free to contact me anytime. Hugs to you, Ida |
