It’s not about you It never was about you I know enough about you To know it’s not that It’s about you Not being you This town the state The whole small world Not being as it is The cows in the field Not lifting their heads Not feeling the need To take in the light It’s about not being Happy lucky being alone A leap of faith It’s about a river Deep and blue Under a wooden bridge A river Flowing out to sea Under an ocean of stars And it all The river the bridge The sea and stars Having meaning A special significance To an idea of us . |
