Okay. So on Monday I wrote a poem to inspire star –crossed lovers. Because there is girl in my class that I much admire and who doesn’t know That I exist and so does not admire me in return—not even a little. It’s just to let others know that there are many of use out there. On Tuesday, I wrote a poem to inspire people to be brave and To never give up their plan no matter how hard to achieve. One never wins by quitting only by sticking to the plan. Not that I always follow this advice myself. On Wednesday I wrote a poem to inspire people to diversity. We are not all alike and differences are natural. Let’s have everyone’s opinion and not just think That there is only one person who knows. On Thursday I wrote a poem about our freedom of choice And the suffering that comes with that. Not only for the Combatant but also for those left behind that worry. This price gives us the freedom to vote for the leader. On Friday I wrote a poem inspire those interested in art. But don’t think they have the ability to try. Whatever you produce is just the right thing, And is deserving of praise just the way it is. On Saturday I wrote a poem of compassion To inspire people to be kind to each other. Because there is enough sadness in the world Already. We don’t need more. On Sunday I showed these poems to my mother. She said, “Where is the part about the little boy who Will not obey his mother and goes running off into The dark woods, only to be chased into a cave to Escape the wolves. There was a bear in that cave. Now much of the above may be true. But would You put into your poems to inspire. No, I think Not, because it is just to much blah, blah, blah. And nobody would want to read it. |

And hence, the generation issues ensue. Welcome to Passions, Duck! Please, check your email for a Very Special Greeting! "The business of the poet...is to show the sorriness underlying the grandest things and the grandeur underlying the sorriest things." Thomas Hardy |

Interesting set of verses here, and the coup de grace at the end with the bear fable took a blue ribbon first place. ~ Diplomacy is the art of saying 'Nice doggie' until you can find a rock ~ |

Welcome to Pip, dear Duck! Your poem is very beautifully written and greatly inspiring, indeed. Your Mother is right though, suggesting to write about those adventures too ![]() Love, Margherita |
