Wrapped Around Your Middle Finger

I wished that I
could be with you
so many times
but you rarely
returned my call
saying you didn't
have the time.

Though you don't
seem to want me
my heart lingers,
how does it feel
to have me
wrapped around
your middle finger.

I spent a lot of years fighting that "wrapping around her finger," when in actuality it would have all been for the best if I would have just ridden with it. Seems you are trying to ride with it and are getting confusing vibes back. Happens. Stuff happens.
