I had plans for that ya know
she said as she gave me a pout
free of charge from over and behind
and watched me take the last one
from the starbucks bananas for a dollar

I could offer you other options
of the same general dimensions perhaps
but maybe not of the same intentions
I replied as I peeled some inches slowly
and made sure her eyes were coveting

and what about the rest of the package
she jingled along with a beemer key smile,
in case I wanted more than just part way
or something that took longer to finish
then what I wanted in just that instant

my heart is in san francisco I offered in reply
and my conscious I left just outside of saigon
a tooth or two under the floor of the mason bar
and I gave too many fingers away to be handsome
but I do have some change left that hasn't yet

she said she would send a truck over later
a semi perhaps to pick up all of my memories
and bring them down to the easy in and out
where she could help me get them all shiny again
and put them up in her special pretty place

I said all I needed was on the harley
or would be as soon as I climbed back straddle
but would follow her home for awhile
and see how my metal looked in her driveway
might have to move that beemer over a little

since I did have a few priorities after all
