The salt water baubles washes gently upon the jetty sent from lands distant. Pushed by a hovering yellow moon, sometimes built into thunderous hurricanes. Change comes rapidly and dangerously as the sea meets yesterday coming back. It speaks to me and it does say, I give no quarter and furthermore I ask for none. As I stare outward at the placid waters I feel heaviness deep inside my chest. The sea has become humanity to me, With its powerful and hushed rage, not seen before. Heretofore I have been persuaded by wanderlust to skim the surface, to walk on by time without end, miss nothing that may be something. I linger here. ~ I went to a restaurant that serves "breakfast at any time" / I ordered French Toast during the Renaissance ~ [This message has been edited by JerryPat2 (05-25-2011 10:17 PM).] |

Now this is poetry to admire, maybe I have not graduated in my frame of thought or maybe have just caught a different muse but I could not come close to this!!! ~~~kingsangel~~~ |

Appreciate your kind remarks, kingsangel. I ventured away from my normal genre, which actually is no genre at all, to write this. I had fun doing it, and actually had to stop and think to make things work, so I guess I'm happy about it. Doubly so that you have given me kudos. Thanks again. ~ I went to a restaurant that serves "breakfast at any time" / I ordered French Toast during the Renaissance ~ |

Jerry...From the depth of observation comes depth within...or is it the other way around? I liked this timeless poem. |
