I wrote this over a decade ago when I spoke better Spanish than today. Today you have my best translation of it (the original in Spanish is below). The Moon The moon is new, tonight she’s invisible; I want to see her. When the clouds shroud her and the dusk air cools, And the world is saddened; I want to go beyond the clouds To be, there. The moon, when full is the fountain of the soul, you see? Bursting with enthusiasm, bubbling with life For her, I aspire, I prefer The moon in the city, guarded by a landscape of the built. Her light giving sweetness even to concrete, and the people are grateful. It can make you believe. In her. |
