I love the spare wording and the quaint simplicity. "I wonder if that flower is looking back at me" is a very childish and very beautiful thing to think. Solemnizing it in poetry is very honest. The best poetry, after all, is the poetry that shows a little glimpse of the pleasure our soul shamelessly gives itself. Really liked your poem. |
