natural beauty (my picture)

When divine essence
radiates through eyes
as a reflection of the soul,
all else fades –
becomes unessential.

Lock eyes and see!

Neither perfect outer beauty
nor wabi plainness
can stop inner beauty
from surfacing.

To be plain outside
is not a prerequisite
to display inner light.
Deepest harmony manifests
when both aspects
compenetrate each other.

The soul’s language and desire
repair the imperfections,
so that they glow
with essential
divine perfection.

Well done on both your parts. Inner/outer beauty compliments the other, but if the beauty is only on the inside it can put a sheen of beauty on an otherwise average, plain face. I've seen this far too many times to not know its truth.

Dear Faith, thank you very much. I enjoyed your comment and your remark about the picture too. I love this tulip picture, it looks a little like yin and yang, it holds shadow and light, like all of Nature.
