with her vodka tainted tears
trickling down her exposed
and dripping off a tip
onto her palm
Contemplating
irony
tragedy
and double edged swords
she gently
shut the door

It's such a good day for poetry.

You've managed a sad portrait of a situation (condition?) that is so prevalent that you could have quite easily slipped into cliche' or judgement.

You didn't do either, and that's quite the accomplishment.

The sad tone of this does indeed reflect a sense of compassion from you.

I am sorry for your sadness (hugs), but glad that you could overcome it with such strength, grace and noble victory, and that you could turn it into the beauty of this exquisite, venomless masterpiece.
