I watched the doors to the backyard
The trees just above the secret garden
Where their young hands use to move time

The music lending its ears
To the way their feet
Would shuffle through the dirt

Her little ponytail
Like the smallest hairs on the canyon
Bristling with the wind to the north of their home

His eyes, aqua stare
Watching her move her thumbs
As if she was tying the knot of time in one
So their game of hide and go seek
Could last and last

Until the night came
With their eyes stunting the porch light
His arm around her shoulders
The tiny dancer,
With her fingers wrapped around his
And the night slowly listened

Their silhouette off the back porch door.

Beautifully romantic in a unique poetic way.
The scene is pictured in such a homey way even though poetic relanguage is used.
A very very good write.
