Flower Of Love

Beautiful flower, time is at your wait in spring
What joyful news do your flaming breasts bring
The rain shall descend from the heavenly skies
To kiss the ground where my love lies
Let your love shine on me, i have traveled far and wide
To behold the gem on your face and the fire in your eyes
Your spirit do i love let not my search be in vain
Smile a pretty smile for me and let me feel your joy again
The warmth of your touch, will soothe my soul
To think of one so mild, pure, beautiful and true
Upon the early wind make me warmer still
For the pleasure of looking at one as lovely as you
Into the evening as time lays its mantle by
Your beauty will illuminate the clear blue sky
And at night as twinkling stars appear up above
Pour out your soul in silent wonder,
O flower of love
And in the morning as you rise with the sun's first ray
You shall be called by your rightful name, Queen of may
Then let your flames engulf the changing of the wind
Beautiful flower, time is at your wait in spring

Dear Deep Blue, this poem touches my heart with its beauty and depth. With such a gentle and intense invitation how could the flower of love not bloom?

Flowers are beautiful to look at and i wait for their arrival every spring. In their spirit i see that love, that cries and longs to be loved.

Wonderful write, loved this verse, it has real pizzazz.

The title reminded me of San Francisco:
"If your going to San Francisco, be sure to ware a flower in your hair..."
