God's Love For Man

"Love is telling someone
how much you love them
and bringing those words
to life by your actions."

If you were willing
you could love,
and by love I mean
a love thats true,
not just speaking the words
and telling someone "I love you."
Not just touching
and physical sensations,
the love that I speak of
is a love of spiritual perfection,
a love that is pure
in thoughts and words and actions.
A divine love,
an agape love,
like God's love for man.

100% my friend, and the one part you sort of alluded to was the committment each party has to bring to the table ... without that all love is going to fall flat on it's face. In fact, commitment will carry a relation through when love seems to have faltered. The truest test of l o v e is when it seems, for one reason of another, to have come on hard time . . . commitment - that point where you promised to see your partner through thick and thin, etc., etc., - that's what I'm talking about. If that's a lie right from the begining... most LOVE is going to crash and burn, because frankly 'heat' doesn't feed the belly, pay the bills, and survice both adult and childrens' tantrums....oops getting on a soap box here...

Jimmy, you have a right to (and in my eyes, are more than welcome to) get up on your soap box because you have a lot to teach us all - your wonderful marriage proves it - and no, you are not "lucky" - you and your wife both worked hard at it and you deserve the happiness you have!
