Should I Believe

Should I believe
that love
isn't real,
that the object
of my love
was only
out for a thrill...

Perhaps my love,
to her was
something less,
could it be
that the
fruits of love
never lived
within her
caress.

It happens, it seems, James, more often than not these days. Shrug it off, if you can, if you can't approximately a ten day drunk should help put out the fire.

Never any choice, my friend...you've nothing to lose, the heart is sorta like a rose, it gushes with it's splendor and when the current 'flame' is gone, another takes it's place.

One has to put into a relationship everything they want out of it, with the understanding that it may not work - or that it could unexpectedly end - and that life doesn't end when it's over - life goes on and adapts.
