When a young woman
Is kidnapped and violated,
Often murdered,
I see my mother
Embrace of tears
In front of her television set,
She knows what lived
This innocent star
And we all know that,
Her tears are flowers
Which wait for the rain,
Wounded flowers
As so many others.

Yann, this is powerful, sensitive, very beautiful and superbly composed. The pain in it isn't denied, but transformed into caring and beauty, and a sharing of the pain. I am so sorry your mother knows this - I hope it is only with her empathetic heart and not her experience.

Hi Diana, thanks for the empatic comment, bonjour Diana, What I try to write indeed was empathy of my mother with the event even if she had never been a victim of rape, I knew there could be a misunderstanding with the verb to know (like in french) and I am happy you pointed it with accuracy...
