The old wicker couch with its faded cushions, peeling paint for years has been there in the shade of the ancient tree and I watch the leaves drift down upon it, like teardrops slowly and gently falling. Some of them dance in the breeze like butterflies and find their way through the half-open door, settling onto the floor as if taking up residence, in a vacant and empty house and I watch... listening to the echo of "he's gone" stretching across the miles. |

You display a sacred atmosphere that holds precious messages unveiled to your heart. As long as you feel him like this, he won't really be gone. You are connected in beautiful ways. Most beautiful write. Love, Margherita |

Thank you Margherita. Although no longer of this world I feel him all around me. A connection like ours is never broken. |

Oh no connections are never broken im a deeply spiritual person and fully beleive that. My father passed away a few yrs ago and also a sister. I feel them around all the time. Not here with me anymore, in the physical sense just on another plane very much alive til we all meet again. Great poetry as always. Dreamgal |

Beautifully created. So vivid, I know everyone says things like this, but your description was so vivid to me they were real. I particularly watched them take up residence in that vacant and empty house. I liked this. ~ At the siege of Vienna in 1683 Islam seemed poised to overrun Christian Europe. We are in a new phase of a very old war. ~ |

Thank you Jerry. The love of my life passed away in late February. For now, for me, the world is a sad and empty place. |

I'm sorry Jerry. It's a pain that never goes away; you just get use to living with it hovering over you. |

I'm so very sorry for your loss. Your poem with grace and delicacy brings the pain of it right to the readers' hearts. I wish you well. Helen |

wordweave'r change is what makes us grow...the leaves falling down creating the poem here...the empty filling you, clearing a path perhaps for your next chapter of life. |

I appreciate you reading and commenting, but the death of the love of my life is not the kind of clean slate I desire. |

Reading your poem and i could see it clearly with tears in my eyes. I hope that bond stays strong as your love for each other echos for miles. |

Thank you Ken. I suppose one day I'll get use to the fact that the great man is dead. But, for now, the hurt and the loss are too raw even though I can feel him all around me as eternity waits for the rejoining. Namaste, Marcia |

So many thoughts of compassion and understanding that won't find words because floods of tears overwhelm me. Sorry. Owl |
