So You Call Yourself a Star? |

So you call yourself a star, so why when I touch you, you feel the same as me? You say you are so powerful, so why if an earthquake comes your being shaken like everyone else? You say you are famous, so why when alone at home your bottle of liquor is your only friend the same as a homeless man with nothing on the street? You say you are happy, so why are you crying under your sheets when no one is around? You say you need no one you have it all, so why is the one who got away the one you call? You say you have so much money and can buy anything, so why are you still not happy with what you have? You say you are invincible, so why are you able to die? You say you have changed, so why are you still doing the same things? You say this is it, this is the reason of your hard work, and so than why are you still working so hard, your happy right? So now what is your purpose? Haven’t you gotten there? “Your happy right?” You say you found the right one, than why is she the one you still think of? The purpose of life is not to idolize what is around us, but think far beyond that, far beyond what we cannot control or create. We are not in charge. When I looked up into the heavens (skies/stars) tonight, I realize we have no control. So you call yourself a star so why am I looking you straight in the face but the other stars are staring down at me light years away? I do not need shine or wealth, just a pen and some paper for my health |

So much for pretension. Wow, you've really unmasked some serious delusions here. Wouldn't it be great if we all saw ourselves with such a humbling dose of reality? Wonderful work. ·´~`·»Garapan«·´~`· "Look! Crumbs on his jacketses... Heeee took it!" |

Methinks he is a sham. The idea of wealth, fame and good looks is a prerequisite for happiness and contentment has been dashed as not a worthy thought for centuries. What we learn from our past we soon forget in pursuit of our future. Suicidal twin kills sister by mistake! |

Totally, thought inspiring poem... I loved it... Your signature is also fab... When life gives you a hundred reasons to cry, show life that you have a thousand reasons to smile... :D |
