darkness can set in without you realizing it without a warning it isn't like the flu your bones doesn't begin to ache or sniffles begin but there it is like a heavy dark cloud in its arrogant and omnipresent takeover of your mind sucking tendrils of reality from the cerebrum can madness be far behind ~ If you don't want gays in the military, make the uniforms ugly. ~ |

Dear Jerry, I understand this very effective write. It does happen just like this, like a sudden storm one didn't expect. But we need to keep in mind that "dark clouds" are bound to pass and meanwhile we can at least try to focus on the memory of the light. If you refer to the progressive mental darkness and decay then it becomes really frightening. It is so painful to see it in others we love and something we intensely hope will never affect us personally. Thank you for this thought provoking piece. Margherita, you are a sweetie and thank you very much for your optimistic thoughts on this poem. Sometimes these moods, or whatever you can them, can certainly be scary though. ~ If you don't want gays in the military, make the uniforms ugly. ~ |

Been there, been there, been there, and it can make your body physically hurt. Wish I didn't know all that stuff...but I'm much better now |

Well written about that which many doctors and drug companies make a huge amount of money under the guise of 'depression'. A real, painful and debilitating experience for many (thank goodness not me thus far). j. |

Appreciate you being here and commenting, dreamgal. Thanks. Yes, Lori, it is not a new thing, it just feels like it when it come home to roost. You are absolutely correct, J., about the drug companies. They like to give "impressive" names to these afflictions of ours and make themselves right and most people buy into it. I know it is temporary with me, although I understand there are "some"" people it is a real problem for. Thank you for your input this morning. ~ If you don't want gays in the military, make the uniforms ugly. ~ |

loved the lines: "sucking tendrils of reality from the cerebrum" and the answer to "can madness be far behind" is perchance... |

And some times? It's just night time. I tease you a bit. Just a bit, though. Dark days indeed...I share your glumz. *hugs* |

Spiros, I thank you, your comment has gotten my day off to a nice start. Appreciate it. Yea, Serenity, you're right, it was probably just time for it to get dark. I guess maybe I complain a little too much. There's always a bright side to write about. I'll try to find. ~ If you don't want gays in the military, make the uniforms ugly. ~ |

Hi Jerry, I know someone who suddenly gets dark moments for no apparent reason but with the knowledge that it is temporary she is able to live through them much easier. It would take a better brain than mine to understand why but me being me I'd say they could result from an intuitive "pick-up" from the ... ether. Just say it isn't yours and shrug it off - can't hurt. Helen |

Helen, a wise sage are you. I agree with you, it's just that sometimes, when it first comes, it surprises you so you don't think properly. I'm getting a handle on it. I know now where it came from and am dealing with it. You are nice and thank you. ~ If you don't want gays in the military, make the uniforms ugly. ~ |
