They were the dawn Where two people see one another Touch each otherÕs flesh Like it was only theirs to hold Her hair, his sweat Her cheeks underneath the breathe of white sheets He took her legs and wrapped them Wrapped them around the walls Where each region of the sea Met the four corners of their room She let him touch her toes As they slowly curled towards his face Towards the space Between the day and night Where she was on his arm Like the time she cried Because her mother was gone The time she cried When they first made love She simply took her arm The sunrise and the sunset The woman of a shadows descent Riding away in his arms. |
