I had uttered words that displeased my love, Direct from my heart to her judging mind -- She stomped her foot; quick-flipped her leather glove Then said: Insensitive I do you find. I paused, and felt the error of my way - But who am I to seek to know the Light That guides a Woman’s heart? That inner ray A mystique hidden ever from my sight Reveals to me no hint of right or wrong. But this my quest, be ever at her side, And though with manly trimmed array I strong May seem - still, did she ever know I cried? I, but an ancient Hunter with a spear, Waiting, longing, inside a hidden tear. CG |

This is beautiful and poignant, dear CastleGuard. Each of us is like a unique universe and so there are those areas that we shall never know of each other. She is lucky to have such a sensitive man by her side. Much enjoyed. Love, Margherita |

I liked this sonnet, CastleGuard, Bill is smiling. The mysterious in the opposite sex is meaningful, sometime lackadaisical, but always enticing. ~ OK, so what's the speed of dark? ~ |

fine sonnet! ... I posted one recently; (since several folks thought I only do 'verse libre') however, it got ignored for the most part ... /pip/Forum111/HTML/001081.html |
