we went out during summer break with the family I could feel tension from each direction my mother, sister brother, step brother step sister and step father. I would just look out the window hoping that words won't burn and hope that love would cover us or at least blind us so we can't see each other. I hardly remember much just the swings, grilling an the river bank. I was amazed by the riverbank, and how the sun setting over it displayed such colors. My heart was soaring. We couldn't go in it but we could pick up the seashells that layed on the sand. I collected broken shells, whole shells and rocks. Placing them in a brown lunch bag guarding them like sunking treasures. I was filled with joy, delight, happiness and satisfaction. Hoping it never ends, but I become quite displeased. Especially realizing I will have to return to the car and drive for hours with tension that will increase as we head home. |

Such memories. Why does family not realize how much tension disturbs young minds who know they have no say and really do not know how to help those he loves. latearrival |

I relate ,holiday cheer as they say right? Your words were so revealing I was picturing the little child looking out the window wishing that you could almost put A sweatshirt hood over your head and pray the trip is short and sad and happy for the lonely child collecting the shells and how happy that made him. |
