The year was forty-nine B.C. if memory's still serving me. We marched across the Rubicon defiant of the powers that be. I said to Jules "let's get it on, our forces we should march at dawn," midst Baccanalian revelry "that Pompey's nothing but a pawn." "An act of treason's what we need, we cannot help but to succeed, an empire waits on you there, dude, entrust me with your men to lead ." "Enough of women, wine and food let's kick some ass I'm in the mood I'll play this pipe so you shall know if you stand down you're really screwed !" "It's off to Italy you go, across that bridge, on with the show The time has come at long, long last, here, take this trumpet here and blow !" So from Ravennas' bounds we passed, we few that Ceasar had amassed, Moosetonius and Julius and so it was the die was cast. [This message has been edited by Dr.Moose1 (01-11-2011 08:10 AM).] |

March cross that river you lazy dogs! Just because you have a hundred pounds of armour on is no excuse! I wonder if they stopped to view some of the Byzantine mosaics while on their battle cruise. "Jules" I love that, I wonder if you could get Chris Walken to play that? Love your title in this even if it seems so modern North American. Moosetonius. You be careful, the troops will eat you if the rations get low....grin.... Forward, you get to do a Heston impersonation. Eric |

Alison, Thanks, lol, more than ready. In the off time I've sunken to trying to re-write history. Doc JerryPat, Thanks, indeed they do. Just trying to share the knowledge that "Rubicon" is more than a TV show or type of Jeep. Doc Eric Thanks for the read, and lol @ your reply. Doc Balladeer, Lol, probably because my trusted associate Professor Peabody was gracious enough to loan me the "Way-Back" machine. Oh, and I have it on good authority there are a few of your students looking for a misplaced teacher should you find the time, m'friend. Doc |
