There are so many things I can think to say now Now that circumstances have brought you to a rough stretch of path The kind I've walked too often myself now Now I want to lay down beside you take you in my arms and weep with you what you can not say now Now that I understand enough about life... enough about you... to feel the hurt you are going through now LGR(C)3/6/11 |

this is beautiful, compassionate and tenderly written...so very heart-felt, Lori! There must be a poem in here somewhere. |

Yes, we do understand, but sometimes that just isn't enough. Compassion, yes of course, and advice, again, yes of course. In the end what has to be figured out will be figured out all by themselves, of course with all that tender advice given will usually play into it. ~ Your writing is one of my guilty pleasures...more art than just words.-- steavenr ~ |

Faith, Steaven, Jerry, twistedpup & martiniat8-- Wow your response to this poem is really touching and means a lot to me. I wrote it about my Mom. I couldn't read it to her (too emotional for me)so I just laid down next to her on the bed for a while and we shared an unspoken space of love. I left a copy of the poem there and Dad and Mom read it later. |
