This life I present, while it is rich with diversity is not a life synonymous with good wine and brie. This life would make twenty movies of the week though I'll be the first to admit it is hard to critique.
It began badly, life was given up, like infant buffet that's just a nice way of saying it was thrown away. Its younger years are fraught with pain and tears a soap opera of despair, bloodied soul it did bare.
Of course, the world is not all darkness and pain early on this life learned how to laugh, to maintain. It figured out that if it could relate a good joke act like a clown, it made itself just like real folk.
Too many years of being browbeat, put to shame and physically mistreated, forgetting was its aim. It is no mystery that early trauma begets odd behavior, we like to call it our misery façade.
But, see, this is the crux of the deal, life is real put it in a book or movie, you'll see it has appeal. I'm giving you a heads up, this life is dramatic this life has survived not a few of life's wrecks.
Life pulled out all the stops in its madcap way had fun, hi-de-ho, although just a piece of clay. It faltered, it fell into dangerous, sinful ground so far you would think it would have drown.
But if you are looking for excitement to buy you can do no better, life really does apply. When life put its mind to it, it didn't fall flat women, ah, we must, have to, speak of that:
Womanizer, swain, stud, cavalier, swinger, profligate rake, sugar daddy, roué, gigolo, walking phallus, paramour, debauchee, rounder, wooer, wolf, skirt chaser, lover, lady-killer, Lothario, Don Juan, Casanova, satyr, dirty old man, seducer, betrayer, ravisher, despoiler, lecher.
Oh, didn't I say, life is a man, a man for all a real man who doesn't high-tail from a brawl. A man who can be tender with tears in an eye watching a sensitive movie, may even sigh,
A pearl among swine is how life does rate is all of the above when they open the gate. There is so much more I want to convey if you buy life's story, you'll have a bouquet.

And a many-flowered bouquet it is... this deserves a second read, just to savor all of the variety you've brought, to life.

I like the idea of a bouquet instead of a bunch of weeds. Like anything and everything, we must tend to our life with care if we are to reap what we sow...
There is no greater gift! IMHO

Thank you blues, I hear you talking. It just seems to take some people longer to realize that than others. When early morning quietness seeps into my being it's like I'm being hugged by everything good in the world.—August 16, 2010

Lori, your comment is the ultimate a poet can ever receive. To be able to live within another person, especially if that other person is a poet is a grand moment indeed. Thank you. When early morning quietness seeps into my being it's like I'm being hugged by everything good in the world.—August 16, 2010

There are many of us like that, nakdthoughts, where the mere act of writing, even it it brings back ugly's, is vital foor mental health.

Ida, you have the right idea. However, sometimes ignorance and hardheadedness gets in the way of that. When early morning quietness seeps into my being it's like I'm being hugged by everything good in the world.—August 16, 2010

Yes, life is thus multilayered and not always easy to cope with, but your talent in writing no doubt gave you a purpose that is rewarding.
Love and Happy New Year!

Happy New Year with love back to you, Margherita. We all have our "crosses to bear," and it is how we bear them that make us who we are.
