O’ weeping willows weep for me, Weep tears of pain for all to see. Lift up your head and hear my plea, For I have lost my fight to be. This season’s change has left me here, And winters chill is very near. My stems demise comes soon I fear, I’ll never see another year. My petals brightened by the sun, Have fallen from me, save but one. And nature’s course is all but run, From seed to seed my life is done. |
