My Youngest Daughter and I… Sometimes I think it is because of her, that I dream and in that regard, let me share…as I did with her, that Just last night, youngest daughter, mother of four, caretaker of six…visited my dreams. Keep in mind when she and her sister were born, my silent wish for both of them was: not to be like me. I wished they’d: be stronger than me, willing, decisive, all of which I’ve learned through the years, yes, but which they were allowed, much sooner than I. My daughter and I, sometimes we share ESP. Last night I dreamt that this mother of four was either in, or helping with, a childbirth. The mother was all in white, the surroundings pale in color. I saw sheets waving, cordoning off spaces between spaces. I heard my daughter tell me she didn’t need my help. For the most part, she never has. She didn’t mind my being there, but “Please, mother, don’t help. I can do this myself.” Bossy bossy. Today, I found out, she did do it mostly by herself. No, not for herself, nor another human. Last night, as she helped a friend in need who had to be away from her lambing sheep, my kid saw, and realized, a first time mother in need. A call, an assist, and my daughter pulled a child from the womb, and today, the kid with no name, is alive, and well… and my daughter didn’t need me at all. © KRJ 2-28-11 P.S. I just learned that my daughter, Krystal Joy, got to name the kid. “Krystal’s Joy” [or KJ, in the future] will remain on the farm to give birth to new kids. As it should be. |

Well, that was touching, Sunshine, very much so. ESP at work, albeit in another way that first imagined, but still . . . I thoroughly enjoyed your poem about that daughter that can do it by her darn self, thank you very much. ~ Never did I feel more devoted to my wife than after biting the wild garlic of treachery ~ |

Oh wow, good for her, doing that all by herself and good for her to have spotted something wasn't right and so weird you dreaming about it. We've been busy all afternoon to get the meadow ready for the moms to be. Have to move them this week, they theoretically can start lambing from the 5th of March. Like scattered leaves...my words will flow |

Sissie...It's wonderful to know that your child is strong and capable on her own and also to know that without her even telling you...through a link of heart. |

Independent little gal. Can't believe you wouldn't want them to be like you. Loved this story all the same. Eric the writer views a critic like a fire hydrant would view a dog |
