A notice in my email from PIP seemed queer, I haven't penned poetic in well over a year. I wipe my hands on my leg, then push against the door, noticing the footprints in the dust upon the floor. Squeak of rusted hinges seem to ratchet up my fear, I step into the Archives, and strain my ears to hear. I am just a memory from PIP folklore, others who are better have come after and before. Trembling and waiting for the ghosts to reappear, my whisper echoes loudly, "Alison...are you up here?" Wonder whats been going on that caused her to explore, a place so full of memories no one visits anymore. I glimpse the posts from those who helped to build this great frontier, Ron, Nan, Poet deVine and of course our Balladeer. I see so many poets, we still love and adore, supporting, encouraging and building great rapport. Others that have seemed to fade and slowly disappear, suddenly I see the path that Alison made clear. I apologize sweet Alison and tell you dear that your, incredibly wiser then I gave you credit for. Remember me with a smile on your face, or please don't remember me at all. |

Lucie, Yay! I have wisdom! Makes me want to dance and sing. Seriously. Why do I go to the Archives? I go because this is where PiP was born. And I go because there is some damn fine writing on those boards from people we no longer see or people who don't share poetry any more. I go because it's quiet there. The Archives are like a library with the Librarian wearing thick black lace-up heels, with her glasses slidig down her nose. She glares at me when I laugh too loudly at Toe. ![]() The Archives are a wonderful place. I read there often (and often leave no tracks because I don't want others flocking in there and taking my window seat). I go there, Lucie, to meet people like you. Thank you for the wonderful poem, but even more thank you for keeping pieces of yourself in the archives for someone like me to "discover". Thinking of you. I am so glad that our dear Alison inspired you to write this beautiful and touching poem. I adore to see "old" Pipsters celebrating a come-back. Please stay! Love, Margherita |

I go to the archives to sometimes and I find some really wonderful poems and poets there. Read you there Lucie. Would love to see more. Such a sun-sign thing to do, Alison. Cancers are the history buffs of the zodiac. (I have a cancer ascendent.) Ida |

You are more than just a memory, Lucie. You are an important building block of the house known as PIP. Man, didn't we have some good times?!? You made me laugh and spurred me on to return the favor and, along with Toe and Longjohn, you made the place a "must visit" every day. I've always missed you, dear girl ![]() |
