Beer bottles lean on each other
On my dirty cluttered counter.
My dog eyes the pizza box left on the coffee table.
In the other room, my drunken friends are
Watching Sunday night football.

As I stand at the fridge
and take a drink straight from the milk jug
I laugh and pass gas at the same time,
Thinking of you.
