I’ve heard tales tell before Of pulses made to quicken From but a furtive glance Yet I had not so been stricken I have heard of those eyes That sear through to the soul Knowing the pain avoided Somehow did not console In the opening of this wound For the very first time I felt finally what others Had spoke of in my mind Know I now of singular beauty Of a look that holds one bound As visual acuity heightens And mutes the slightest sound Nothing else consumes me thus So complete the obsession That I do not wither away Under her possession |
