perhaps a sailor's dawn it is on eye this siren song seduction seeping under cellophane iron I closed and locked in mind then pressed the story scars of a warrior there the seal of a statue with tattoos from back to brim my hands grow damp in the liquid glove persuasion tearing at the tarrying grimaced sun that pries tomorrow open just a mouth width then spits his warm to spatter an acid thaw across a frozen heart I carved from diamond oh the gauzy breath of freedom's gavel dare I curse her dancing with solid word or would my wisdom be better spent in mutter lest she feel the verve of my nerve in whet and bid me welcome to her willing well of womb to bequeath the severing of my contentment's pride _____________ daark (owgish) highway series |

"oh the gauzy breath of freedom's gavel dare I curse her dancing with solid word or would my wisdom be better spent in mutter" I love the writer's reflections that you unveil in this stanza...I just wish that I could say that I understood it all...easily, but that would be a lie (or an untruth at best). This write is like a sea...waiting to be sailed, explored, and re-visited again & again...so, I'll be gathering jewels from this one for some time to come...exquisite write |

steavenr..thanks amigo..it is just the quandary of the highway vs the mundane confinement of familiar...the metal of my steed, the leather of my skin, the gypsy of my soul all compete with the methodic twiddling of my occasionally proper thumbs for my heart's attention..any of the highway series pieces will be gravel based and sunset highlighted. |

I can appreciate the quandary of steavenr. In fact, I've been reading and rereading some of your work, and going over it. The more I look though, the more I realize that some things are better left unknown and instead left to surrealism and appreciation of sentimental creation. I have my own Rorschach ideas that no doubt differ from the actual. Mighty fine imagery though. The nuked-er the better (heh). Cheers. |

D Some poems are gateways to the colorful images of dreams. I am taking this one to bed with me and let it lead me to night pictures of riding, feeling, seeing and being there. G'nite, my friend. A |

Love the special effects of gravel and sunset, when it's done right, of course. I always dug OWG's persona. It's all about the ride!!! |
