you had something serious to tell me, i know because you shut my door behind you sat in my empty chair and folded your hands on my desk then you said the most disgusting words ever spoken ‘dense’ was the first vulgarity ‘masses’ was the next and worst- of course, ‘masses’ was plural which shouted the curse word ‘two’ all on a tiny gland in your graceful neck so now, there’s the waiting for tests and then there’s the waiting for results we don’t know what we’re dealing with yet yes, ‘we’ because i called you sister long ago and claimed you as heart and blood when you guarded my most precious possession as if he were your own and then again the day you caught my fall when i received those last words in a telephone call and because i always tell you that i want to be just like you when i grow up, even though you are younger than me so, sorry i couldn’t hold my tears or check my worry because all i could think of was how tired and sick you’ve been lately and how this nightmare would make obscene sense of things but, we don’t know what we’re dealing with yet so, i cover your hand with mine and all i can do for you right this minute is let you know that you are not alone as we begin the waiting… . ___________________________ ~please say a prayer for my katie... . don't wait for the storms to end~ learn how to dance in the rain |

Oh, dear Shellie, I am so sorry for what is happening to your friend Katie. For the pain both of you are going through. Your write has such emotional power, that I have goosebumps. Those are indeed the worst news one can ever hear ... But, as you say, there is still more to know and often, very often regression and healing are a fact. Yo dear Shellie, That's too bad. My youngest daughter is fighting breast cancer. So far she's had both breasts removed. She's doing better with chemo-therapy. Being my daughter, she's one tough egg. Don’t forget to always capitalize your first person singular pronoun “I”. Love Bobby |
