What do we fall in love with?
The first image of the person?
The quirks of their personality?
Objectified pieces of their anatomy?

Where does it go from there?
When time takes it's toll
Where love is tested
When traits are exposed

Do you rationalize?
How long do you make excuses
for their personality
To find out you really don't like them

Perhaps you move in together
to test the living arrangements
and some think that marriage
will solve the problems

They fall back in love
with the ceremony
the honeymoon
anything but who they are

Fall in love with how they think
How they make you feel everyday
When you begin to be able to see through their eyes
Hearing what they hear

The romance is in this task
and the making of a soul mate
