Collision

Wheels turning rapidly,
Steam rising quick.
Shaky foundation,
and crumbling bricks.

Earth beneath vibrating,
Loud engines roaring.
Accelerating by the second,
Speeds steadily soaring.

Oblivious to their surroundings,
both are guided off track.
Continually pushing forward,
Never looking back.

Machines raging on,
headed straight for disaster.
Neither slowing down,
each pressing faster.

With heightened intensity,
bracing for impact,
in the blink of an eye,
they made full contact.

Flames set ablaze,
while pedestrians walked by.
Smoke billowed out,
black as the night sky.

Through the dust and haze,
frustration were strong.
Anger mixed with confusion,
contemplating what went wrong.

As the flames began to die,
the dust began to fade.
The wreckage appeared stable,
and agreements had been made.

This accident occurred,
as a result of poor vision.
These events took place,
the night of the Collision.

Tiffiena,

On several levels, I enjoyed your well written poem.  Hopefully, things are on the mend.

Thank you for the reply, and I'm glad you enjoyed it.

So far, things seem to be okay, but we'll see what the future holds.
