Forever In Your Heart

Heavy are my eyes,
flooding my soul,
out to dry,

Crying a river for you,
salty tears,
welling up with emotion,

Why did you have to go?
there was so much left,
undone, yet to see and do,

Your greatness to be shone,
as never before,
and I weep for you more,

Your soul was beautiful,
magical, wonderful,
loving, kind,

There are few sent,
here to earth,
ambassadors of heaven,

With talent, voice,
soul, dance, emotion,
the world is dim,

My chest hurts,
the pain is too much,
and I cry some more,

We who know how to love,
were sent here to love,
to show the world,

we can sense, feel,
when the others fade,
when they pass,

Then we, the chosen,
wonder, when, our time,
will be up,

to do what we were sent,
here to do, to say,
to bring hope and unity,

Maybe now, they will listen,
through death, eyes are opened,
hopefully hearts as well,

I sit here, remembering you,
with my heart hurting,
and again, I cry...
