It got everywhere in everything most of it lay on the ground an angry red scab on the earth where nothing cared to grow Clouds of it hung in the air like a musty coffin pall In Oklahoma you breath dirt when the sky rains it rains mud when it doesn’t the wind whips it into your skin turning dust into hungry needles It gets in your eyes you nose your mouth coating your teeth in grit rubbing your throat raw and shrink-wrapping your voice in gravel It gets everywhere |

Well done. Reminded me of the soot from massive forest fires, fall out from volcanic ash... The destructiveness we pump into our own atmosphere. A grave and dire look into a future, that we add our own signature to. Thought provoking write. |
