Dear Steaven, thank you so much. Yes, that's a point! ![]() Dear Johan, thank you for your appreciation. A traditional 5-7-5 syllable pattern haiku should have a reference to nature, while a senryu speaks about human nature. Modern haiku can have also less syllables and many do not distinguish anymore between haiku and senryu, calling all of them haiku right away. If you google search "haiku senryu difference" you will find a lot of material to learn more from experts. I love to do them because it is a challenge to say something meaningful with just a few words. Thank you again. Love, Margherita ![]() |
