It wasn’t even close to
A proper length of time.
You had to go and find it.
Some one new to be with,
Some one new to lie to.

With papers not yet served,
With my ring still tight on my finger
I paid your medical bill
And cried for a child not mine
And not born

I'm sorry, this must be very hard for you. I would mention that when God closes a door he opens a window, but it would sound trite.

Emotional piece here. A painful, earth shaking realization, quite powerfully rendered. This kind of wound is far reaching, and long healing... Your few words riveted this reader with thoughts at deep depths, and strength of great heights.
