Walking along a luscious trail, I am happy and peaceful, tranquilly well. My mind is busy, I feel quite swell. Walking along a luscious trail, I am doing just fine, more than a maybe. My body is tensed, my path I can see. I encounter a change, a suttle difference. Rocks, it seems, are now ahead. I am nervous, but long is my patience. I walk on, the rocks-- Them I do not dread. They are bumps in the road, Waves in time, They are steps of wisdom, They are part of the climb. Rocks they are called. Or do they prefer "stones"? These objects so bald, Bare like bones. Do they feel or breathe? Think or decide? Do they know you and me? Does our existence coincide? Are they there or are they not? Do they feel cold, or can they feel hot? Are they part of life and death? Or are they just something less? Stones is the name I prefer- A name of age and wear- To it, yes, I'll defer- That stones, yes stones- Oh yes, they are there. They erode and reform, They Stand tall and strong, and they blend and conform So I cross them. And they are past, So I am beyond them, And this thought of mine, I think it's the last. Not living not breathing- not thinking nor feeling- They only witness, What you, I, and we, So easily, might miss. Stones- Surviving Time On Nothing Except Solidness |

Stones hold the mysteries of time. I enjoyed this, and found the ending to be an interesting thought. |

A well constructed and delivered metaphoric to the idea of being between a rock and a hard place. Nicely done. |
