Were it possible to feel Would I? When the world spins so Could I? Whenever life whirs past Should I? Touch the pedal-brake To slow the go And should I interfere Would I know That I had sketched the face Of sovereignty? |

..."Touch the pedal-brake To slow the go And should I interfere Would I know That I had sketched the face Of sovereignty?" Excellent thoughts here. Especially the ending. We all do, do we not? |

Interesting, dear Steaven. Yes you have the power to slow down and to choose a new awareness. Profound. Love, Margherita |

Oh, I do know how your feel! In fact, a few years ago I posted a poem entitled "Stop! I Want to Get Off!" Whenever we feel caught up in a whirlwind, it is important for us to ground ourselves, be still, go within, and think about the situation ~ whether it be self-imposed or otherwise. Your poem offers fine food for thought! Linda |

I like this - and if some else tries to reign on your parade? Buy an umbrella drink. Yep, that should work. A |
