I did not learn to collect handkerchiefs which the women drop, I learnt to understand why they commit this gesture, later I learnt why I was tempted to collect these handkerchiefs and why it had so much importance, handkerchiefs were adventures, I did not learn to collect handkerchiefs which women drop, I always did it naturally, Alas I tried to understand And now I wonder why they don’t drop hankerchiefs. |

How cute and lovely, dear Yann. Those were precious handkerchiefs, in more than one way! Embroidered and perfumed ... and permeated with secret messages. Now this feminine gesture is so to say "out" I think, and most women carry paper handkerchiefs and probably they use a book or a newspaper falling accidently if they want some attention. ![]() I still have a collection of suitable hankies, and one is always in my purse, even though I use the paper hankies, except in some elegant places around people of a certain age ... This is beautiful and has many layers. Love, Margherita |

handkerchiefs tell histories, weave tears and smiles and sweating tales are inside their hearts. A deep poetry with easy fluency which is your style. clever talks delay friendship! |

The art of "hankie dropping" seems to have gone out of fashion nowadays. Mind you, like Margherita, I have a collection of lacy linen ones and I still perfume them! They make my purses smell so nice! Some habits die hard! lol Just last evening, I was watching a movie where a woman was illustrating to her friends on how to get a man's attention by dropping a handkerchief. ~ "Bend ~ and snap", she would say as she bent down to pick it up and then snap back up. I'm not into those ploys any more! Now I sniffle and the man offer's me his handkerchief and after I wash it and lightly mist it with my perfum, I return it to him ~ on the next date! ![]() This was a very charming poem, Yan the Man!!! ~ and I echo Margherita's wonderful response! (as per usual) ![]() Love 'n Hankies, Linda ![]() |

hello Margherita, yes trhere are many layers, you point it right...How démodé this poem looks like, things never occur this way now and I think it is better, there was some gracious cunning in the ancient roles of seducing...Now things are more deep and frank but less romantic...Every generation has its rules...At last this poem was inspired by a british writer of the last century (Sackville) who is quite delightful in her thoughts...Thanks for the kind and interesting comment... hug yann |

Hello Linda, thank you for the authentic and accurate comment...You are right, these ploys are out of fashion and as You say and how I think it is normal in a sense...Thank you for all details and situations you, described in your generous comment... Have a nice day yann |

Yann, This is new to me. I've never heard of that being done. It must not have found its way to the hood yet. Bobby |

yann, We just drop hints now - it's not half as fun. Don't stop looking. If I see you, my handkerchief will flutter at your feet. I am going out to buy one tomorrow ... just for that day. Hugs and I love this. Alison |

Very orignal and well crafted Yann. A beauty Yoin Larry Silverstein bought the Twin Towers 5 mths before 911 bombing. He already owned bld 11. He took out "terrorist" ins on them. He won 500 million. |
