Draped In Pensive Lace Disqualify from your mind the rhetoric loop Where sweltering temps stick to thy lungs in dirge Long ago, the distinguishable whisper of nautical north spoke Lifting thy chin to face destiny, and the wind Just a sigh above me, does your essence hover Humbly, I offer all that I am not Awash in solar and lunar trill, emanating tides so still So as to lift the soul upon the waves of life Above, high enough to shine in my eyes In spirit, gentle bliss and wild surprise Culling screeds of long winded apprehension The sky drapes down with lace intention To finally explore with open palms The warm curve outlined at my side Copyright Kkh 6/25/09 |
