Motivation
To do whats right
You're with me every single night
In my head
You're in my dreams
In my bed
Under my sheets
Inspiration
To live this life
You haunt me every single night
A part of me
I'm forced to see
I cannot go
I will not leave
Separation
What's wrong or right
You hurt me every single night
Call me names
And spit on me
Always screaming
How it should be
Confrontation
Draw the line
I promise this, it's our last night
Falling short
Of everything
When I'm with you
I can't be me

Darn if I'd ever let someone spit on me!

I like the pattern, how the poem builds on itself.

"You deserve better" [than him] sounds cliche, but even when they are overspoken, certain truths remain  irrefutable.
