The Ice Queen comes a riding on her steed of ice and snow And casts her icy frozen net upon the ground below The beauty of her features hides the ice within her chest Her sparkling silver necklace hangs above her snowy breast The hoof beats of her frigid mount freeze waters as they go Lakes and ponds grow solid and the rivers cease to flow Only fires stoked bright and hot can sway her icy hand As she paints her snowy portrait on the canvas of the land The countryside’s held helpless in her cold and frosty grip Everything is frozen still as she passes on her trip Her arctic beauty holds the earth in wondrous snowy awe And once she’s gone the frigid land begins to slowly thaw The land begins to warm again as farther on she rides Waters start to flow once more as her frigidness subsides Warmth and beauty flourish and the fires no longer burn Hills and valleys green again 'til the Ice Queen's cold return |
