Icebergs sneak
inside her head,
not easy to navigate
without risking to wreck.
To observe the horizon,
to live on the starboard beam,
to change of course,
to turn to port side,
it is sometimes better
to come back to the port
and to abandon the hope
that she loves you,
then to savor stars.

a fine, thoughtful 'write' ...

particularly the ending:

"it is sometimes better
to come back to the port
  and to abandon the hope
  that she loves you,
  then to savor stars."

applause for this 'penning' !

I suppose I'm a hopeless romantic who prefers to see love among the stars than to return to a port to face reality.

Who knows, perhaps in 2010 the icebergs will melt within her head ~ and her heart!

Wishing you all the best in the new year!
